Contribution to Theater as an Initiator-
● First Bell on Stage
Conducts a monthly activity named ‘First bell on stage’ from 2004 where writer, director, actor, light, sound designer for the 1st time get a platform to showcase their play.
● Shubhaste Panthanah
Initiated “Shubhaste Panthanah”, a theatre festival providing a platform for qualified drama teams from Nagpur, selected for the finals of Maharashtra State Government’s Marathi, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Balnatya drama competitions. This festival offers a valuable opportunity for teams to fine-tune their performances before the final round. Additionally, it allows audiences who missed the primary round in Nagpur to experience these outstanding productions. Technical support is provided to ensure seamless performances.
● Vinayak Karade Theatre Festival
The ‘Vinayak Karade 3 days Theatre Festival’ is an initiative and a cultural exchange program that brings dramas from different States to the city’s stage. This festival allows the Nagpur audience to appreciate and engage with diverse theatrical experiences beyond local productions.
● Shaleya Rangmanch
“Shalaya Rangmanch” is an initiative where we work with underprivileged children. This effort is specifically designed for children from ordinary family backgrounds. Our goal is to introduce theatre into their school life, enabling them to read, learn, and engage with plays. Through this initiative, we reach out to streets, towns, and slums, fostering an appreciation for theatre.
● Akkad Bakkad Slum Theatre Festival
‘Akkad Bakkad’ is a unique Slum Theatre Festival that empowers slum children through theatre activity which is going to start from April 2025. Activity will cover more than 200 children form 10 to 11 slum areas in Nagpur, introducing the art of theatre and allied arts to bring change in their lives, giving them opportunity to express themselves, bringing out stories from slums. We conduct 20 days production-oriented theatre workshops for these children, culminating in performances by the young participants during the festival.
